These bliss balls really do live up to their name, they are truly delicious. Packed with raw goodness and so easy to put together. They’re a staple in our fridge and naturally free of all the major allergens. Kids with short attention spans love that these are quick and easy to make, and rolling up the balls is a lot of fun. Gluten free, dairy free, peanut and tree nut free, egg free, sesame free and everything but fun free!

Bliss Balls

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup dairy free dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, (recommend virgin)
  • 5 dates
  • 2 tablespoons wow butter , (this is a toasted soy bean butter with similar consistency to peanut butter)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup gluten free oats
  • 3 tablespoons shredded dried coconut
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Method

  • 1)

    Heat a small pot on low a temperature and add the maple syrup, coconut oil and chocolate. Take off heat as soon as the chocolate and coconut oil is melted.

  • 2)

    In a food processor add the dates, vanilla extract, and wow butter, pulse until mostly smooth.(will have chunks.

  • 3)

    Add the oats, dried coconut and cocoa powder, along with the maple syrup mix from the pot to the food processor and pulse till well combined.

  • 4)

    Unplug and take the food processor bowl off it’s stand and remove blade.

  • 5)

    roll the dough into small gumball sized balls and place on a tray.

  • 6)

    Refrigerate until the balls harden, and enjoy!

Notes

You can roll the balls in cocoa powder, shredded dried coconut or powdered sugar, if you want to get fancy about it.

Any Allergy-friendly peanut butter alternatives can be used in place of the Wow butter. Sun butter (sunflower seeds), or pumpkin seed butter are great variations.
